The Great Outdoors: A Short Story

                                    A Story with a Happy Ending

Once upon a depressing Thursday....the students of Grade 9 waited patiently as their English teacher approached their classroom door. They looked miserable and dejected and they badly needed a change. Thus, they decided to ask the teacher an unusual question. Miss Maisa’a came in, cheerful as usual to be in her class during the last session of the day. Suddenly, she noticed their gloomy faces. This dialogue ensued…..

-Miss Maisa’a:“What’s wrong dear lovely class?”
-Grade 9 Students: “Miss Maisa'a, could we please have our class outdoors???”
-Miss Maisa'a: “Well…Let me think…”
-Grade 9 Students: “Please Miss, we would like to enjoy the sun and we promise to work just as hard as we do in class.”
 -Miss Maisa'a: “OK..Let's go...”

A few minutes later…..

-Grade 9 Students (angelic faces): “It is extremely peaceful to have our English class out in the open……Miss Maisa’a…Thank you very much….”
-Miss Maisa’a (thinking , an evil smile on her face): “I will give them a quiz next time.”
