Debating Internet Censorship

It has been said that it is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it. And with this in mind, the Debate Club organized its third debate this year. The proposition team argued “ that there should be government censorship on the Internet.” On the Affirmative team, there were Hala Kreidieh  12 Life Sciences and Zeina Shateela  11 Sciences. On the opposition team, there were Farah Shaer 12 Life Sciences and Reem Alwan 11 Sciences.

 

During the debate, arguments and counter arguments were put forward. It was obvious that both teams, the debaters as well as the team members, had researched their topic deeply and thoroughly and were able to confront each other with some interesting and baffling questions. 

 

Mr. Muhammad Mushnouk (Director of Educational Affairs) honored us with his presence and inspired the students with his enlightening remarks.

فطور من إعداد الصف التاسع

     ما أطيب الفلافل إذا كانت من تحضيرنا.

   مشروع فطور فلافل في المدرسة قامت به تلميذات الصف التاسع مع معلّمة التربية السيدة فادية بيطار وساهم أهالي التلميذات بإعداده.  وإلى جانب متعة التعاون بين المعلّمة والتلميذة وبمشاركة الأهل خارج إطار الدرس، حقّق المشروع تمويلاً  لنشاط ترفيهي آخر السنة المدرسيّة.

مجموعة كبيرة من من تلميذات المدرسة اتممن دورة الدفاع عن النفس Aikido التي نظمتها "الهيئة الوطنية لمناهضة العنف ضد المرأة"

دورة قدمتها "إنجاز" للصف الثاني الثانوي

كتابة قصة

        وفق منهج محور القصًة في مادًة اللغة العربيًة في صف السابع الأساسي، طبًقت التلميذات ما تعلًمته من "بنية القصًة " وقامت بعضهنَ بكتابة قصًة ثم عُرضت هذه القصص على بعض ابتدائيات المقاصد منها : ابتدائيًة "أبو بكر الصًديق "، ابتدائيَة "خليل شهاب " وابتدائيَة "عمر ابن الخطاب " كان لهذا العمل أثر جيًد في نفوس التًلميذات.

Having a Great Day!

The last day of school before the spring break was a festive day in Makassed College for Girls.The students had some leisure time to enjoy themselves with different activities on campus.Later,the teachers went out for lunch in downtown Beirut.Everybody had a great time!

Healthy Kids

  Grade 7 students left the school in the morning on May 2, 2012 and headed for KSPS in order to participate, support, and share in the Project "Healthy Kids". 

The girls enjoyed the activities on the playground, had a healthy breakfast, and handed over their handcrafts made in their art sessions to the students of grade 6. That morning left happy "healthy" moments in their life. 

Such frequently repeated expressions as "food is health", "who cares for his food cares for his health and life", "how much we eat, how we eat and what we eat" have become alive and proved to be a practical application at KSPS. 

The time spent there was only a great benefit and fun!

شخصيات كان يجسّدها الحكواتي " أبو رجب"، اليوم أعادتها إلينا طالبات صف الثامن الأساسي في كلية المقاصد للبنات. وأعادت بذلك ذكرى "صندوق الفرجة" على وقع نشيد عمر الزعنى:

الدنيا صندوق فرجة

لا تغرّك فيها البهجة

من يوم ما خلقت عوجا

لا تبكِ عليها ولا تنوح

وهذا المهرجان استقطب أنظار العديد من طلاب المدارس المستضيفة وقد خيّم جو الفرح والسرور.

شاركت مجموعة من التلميذات وفازت بالمرتبة الثالثة في بيروت الطالبة غالية زهرة.

مهرجان صندوق الفرجة

لغتنا هويّتنا

برعاية وزير الثقافة "غابي ليون" وبالتعاون مع جامعة "سيدة اللويزة"، نظمت جمعية أندية الليونز الدولية المنطقة 351 لبنان- الأردن- العراق وللمرة الأولى «يوم الإملاء»، بهدف تعزيز مكانة اللغة العربية وإنطلاقا من مفهوم «لغتنا هويتنا» وذلك يوم السبت 28 نيسان 2012  في قصر الأونيسكو. تتوجّه المسابقة الى تلامذة المدارس الرسمية والخاصة من مختلف المناطق اللبنانية (من عمر 16 سنة) وشارك فيها نحو 80 تلميذا.  ومن مدارس المقاصد، كلية المقاصد للبنات حازت الطالبة "هلا كريدية" على المرتبة العاشرة. .مبارك  نجاحها

PLANTING CLUB

 

        In cities, homes are built on top of one another in enormous apartment buildings. As more and more into this high-rise apartment without grass, trees and bushes, we miss an important part of our lives. 

      The human soul, it seems, needs to stay close to its roots. The lack of green space is a real problem everywhere, but in school we found the spaces that no one uses, so we’re decided to use these unused spaces for green areas. And this is how an idea to make a Planting Club was born, and it started its activities 3 years ago. 

     This humble club gives the chance for the girls in our school to practice how to take care of plants, living things, which need specific conditions to stay alive and green. Not only do they need water, sunlight, vitamins, air but they also special individual care. Looking after the plants gives us a link with nature itself, and it’s a kind of substitute garden for us. 

     Every year our club is becoming richer with new members who have the chance to watch the plants develop day by day or as shoots develop and the leaves unfold. This process brings us great pleasure and appreciation of our planet’s beauty.

    We’ve become a part of the beauty and harmony of Planet Earth.

     Finally, the result is a growing greenness and a healthier environment in our school. 

Makassed Athletics Day
